We purchased our first alpacas in 1998, one year after we purchased our 270 acre ranch in Idaho. We were looking for investment opportunities for the ranch and when Brad saw an ad in Alaska Airlines about alpacas, we knew we had found what we were looking for to maximize the use of our Idaho property.
We initially boarded our herd for 5 years because we decided to postpone our move to Idaho until Brad reaches early retirement age (summer 2012). Our herd size grew and we decided to look for property here in the Pacific Northwest. In 2002 we found 5 acres near Sedro-Woolley and finally started living the alpaca lifestyle. Today our herd has grown to more than 30 alpacas and we also board alpacas for several clients. Life is simple with the alpacas and keeps us close to home with our two sons, Blaze and Tate.
Lesa is a fiber artist and enjoys working with the fiber from our alpacas. She shears all our alpacas every year and then turns their fleeces into beautiful handspun yarns. In 2006 Lesa started processing fiber for clients and specializes in alpaca show fleeces. We also have a farm store where we offer raw fiber, yarns and other alpaca items for sale.
In preparation for our relocation to Idaho, we would like to downsize our herd. We have strived to increase the quality of our herd over the past 10 years and we invite you to take a look at the alpacas listed for sale to see if we have just the right alpaca to compliment your breeding program or an ideal package to get you started on a successful alpaca venture.
THANKS for visiting!
